Weddings

The Swan at Hay is a beautiful setting for a wedding. With Georgian elegance, romantic gardens, an excellent kitchen and an experienced wedding team, everything is in place for us to help you create your perfect day.

We have a licence to carry out civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 80 people in the Cygnet room which has wonderful garden views. For a more intimate affair, our newly refurbished Heron Room can seat up to 16 guests. If it’s just the two of you, we are always happy to act as witnesses.

For the wedding breakfast, we can accommodate up to 120 guests in our Coach House Suite. This is also a great location for an evening party, with its dance floor and well-stocked bar. For a smaller wedding breakfast, the beautiful Cygnet room, with its wonderful Georgian features, can comfortably sit up to 50 guests.

In order to ensure that you have our complete dedication, we never hold more than one wedding or event on any day. While we have wedding guides and packages in place, please use these as a guide, as all weddings at The Swan at Hay are bespoke affairs. We will work closely with you throughout each of the planning stages to ensure that you have the day that you have always dreamed of.

We work closely with many excellent local suppliers and will be happy to recommend these to you. We are also happy to share our extensive wedding planning expertise to ensure that you enjoy planning your big day.

Bridal Fayres
We hold regular Bridal Fayres at The Swan at Hay and would be delighted if you could join us. It is a fun afternoon for all who attend, with champagne and canapé tasting, catwalk shows, and hair and make-up demonstrations. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet lots of local suppliers who will help you put the finishing touches to your day.
